LEASE CRUTCHER LEWIS
BRANDED MERCHANDISE CATALOG
Though I was hired on as a Marketing Coordinator for Seattle construction company Lease Crutcher Lewis, I became a bit of a self-starter when it came to design-related projects to showcase my desgin skills as often as I could. This included designing the invitations and signage for the company holiday party, and redesigning internal newsletters and reports to be more visually interesting and on-brand.

One of my biggest responsibilities at Lease Crutcher Lewis was organizing and keeping stock of the company’s large collection of branded merchandise (apparel, safety gear, golfing equipment, etc.). These products were available for purchase to employees, as well as serve as vendor and client gifts throughout the year.
The way employees would order these products was via email (managed by me), and the way they could see what was available was a text-only Excel spreadsheet. If someone wanted to see what a product looked like, they would have to either ask me to send them a photo, or come by my desk to see it in person. Fulfilling these requests just to view the items would take a lot of time out of my day.
To make the experience more enjoyable and efficient for everyone at the company, I decided to create a catalog to display images of all the products along with prices and brief descriptions. I took all of the photos using a makeshift photo studio I created at my desk, organized the products into categories, and laid everything out within a design that met brand specifications.

The catalog was emailed out to the entire company, and I also printed and bound a few hard copies to keep at my desk for visitors. I also used the images to create advertisements that would go out to employees to highlight special or new products, as well as holiday deals and sales.
The catalog was a hit, and made the branded merchandise program much more organized and successful. While I still had to accept and track orders through email, I no longer had to take time to show a potential customer what shirts we had available, or what the golf tees looked like.
